| Scripture-Soaking Bible Studies |
| Scripture-Soaking Bible Studies are appropriate for the new seeker or seasoned believer. They are designed to work equally well for either group use or independent self-study. Though many excellent Bible studies require participants to page through their own Bibles to find each verse targeted for study, Scripture-Soaking Bible Studies are structured differently. In order to facilitate the ability to overview multiple sections of related Scripture all at once, Scripture Soaking Bible Studies write the verses directly into the study with questions and comments to ponder interspersed. This serves several purposes. The objective is to make it easy for you to read and re- read related passages and see the connections between them. This simply is easier to accomplish when you don't have to go flipping back and forth in your Bible. In addition, this makes Scripture-Soaking Bible Studies extremely portable. Self-contained in a convenient booklet size, they can be carried by our deployed in their packs, or tucked in an overnight bag for business trips, weekend getaways, or slipped into a bag for an afternoon at the park, etc. The Scriptures themselves (God’s sacred written words, gathered together into a collection of books – the meaning of ‘biblia’ or Bible) are the major teaching tool. The Scriptures are God's Word - the one and only Truth and the ultimate source for learning about God. The objective is to spend as much Bible study time in actual Bible verses as possible. Questions follow almost every Scripture passage for the purpose of directing participants to take a second look at those passages considered most revelatory for our study. Most questions include a verse reference regarding the exact location of its answer, which are then written directly into the booklet. By reading the Bible verses, then answering the questions through referring back to the verses, the truth the verses contains will be better written on each participant's heart. |

| Introduction Inside each of us there is something telling us there must be more to life than what our five physical senses reveal. This earthly life from birth to death can’t be all there is! There must be grander power, greater purpose, than surviving through the day-to-day in order to make the way for the next generation. The various faiths of the world each attempt to address this issue. This study deals with the Christian view. It is not the purpose of this study to prove whether the God of Christianity is real. This study assumes He is. Its purpose is to reveal who this God says He in His own words by reviewing parts of the Bible. This is NOT a comprehensive study into who God is and what He does. Such an exhaustive study of God is impossible because as God He is infinite and impossible to know completely. We are all busy. We each have more to do than possibly can be done in the hours available. People say there are “blessings” for spending more of our time with God. This study endeavors to provide enough of an overview so that you can decide whether you choose to believe and if yes, help you determine whether allocating additional time to get to know God better is worth your time. Be prepared to encounter a supernatural God! The exciting consequence of the limitless wisdom contained in the Bible is to realize anytime we delve in seeking to learn about God we are entering into “super”natural territory! |
