In April 2004 the Lord laid on my heart we needed a
song to encourage our troops and our country, the
USA, in the War On Terror. A few minutes later He
began flooding my mind with the chorus to a song
which has now been recorded in two different renditions. In February 2005 the
Lord gave me a vision to get it to our troops. In 2006 in obedience to the vision it
was recorded as a traditional Sousa-style march and titled, "We Will Fight For
Freedom". Now in 2007 as we still work to get it to the troops for whom it was
composed, the song has been recorded as a rock anthem re-named, "STAND UP"
and was first released Patriot's Day, September 11, 2007.
In February 2007 we announced that copies of the patriotic march version would
be gifted to children of the deployed to thank them for the gift of their parent's
service. Since we first wrote about it in February 2007, we have worked through
three different organizations to gift over 700 copies of the new Christian patriotic
march, "We Will Fight For Freedom" to children of the deployed to thank them
for the gift of their parent's service.
Each CD is decorated with red, white, and blue ribbons and has a thank you note
printed on patriotic paperstock attached. The note reads:
Thank you…
for the gift of your parent’s service
in the War on Terror.
We appreciate your family’s sacrifice
on behalf of our nation and the world.
It is an honorable and important mission.
God bless you!
One of the charities which has helped us get the music to the kids reports a 2007
goal to reach 50,000 children with their outreach. They have committed to help us
deliver as many copies of "We Will Fight For Freedom" as we can get to them.
There are 100 copies left in inventory. Donations to Eagle's Nest Foundation will
enable manufacture of addition CDs to be gifted. Please prayerfully consider if you
are to be a sponsor. Every $3 can get a copy of the song to another child.
