| THE TREE - A Little Book of Faith and Hope |
| The story behind the book....for several months during the evenings in 1994 as I would read bedtimes stories to a little book was coming, He would give me the words and it would sound like.... I listened but continued caring for my family, knowing when it was time He would let me know. He did. In early July 1994 He woke me in the middle of the night and told me it was time. I argued with Him at first. I was tired. At the time I had a full-time job, a three year old and 9 month old and the baby still woke to be nursed at 3am. I wanted to sleep! But I knew better. If I didn't obey, whatever He had to give me would no longer be there in the morning. And so I arose, went to the family and sat with yellow pad and pen in and hand, writing out words which were as if downloaded into me. They flooded my mind at a frenzied pace. Then after 45 minutes it was over and I returned to bed exhausted, thinking I had drafted perhaps a rough draft of something. Yet amazingly, with the exception of modification of a few sentences for clarification, THE TREE remains as He gave it to me that night for you! May THE TREE bring the whisper of His peace into your heart. |
